Google Reader and Feedly are great bedfellows

I've avoided Google Reader for sometime. But with my recent interest in all things Google (i.e. Wave, PubHubSubHub, Chrome, & ChromeOS), I thought I give it another go. And, you no what, it's the same. Long lists of articles I have yet to read make me tired. It's like my unread email count at work. Burdensome.

Feedly to the rescue. A simple skin and a few addons make a tremendous difference! Add it to Firefox to try it out for yourself.

Better Identity Management Being Planned for Firefox

Latest blog post from Aza indicates Mozilla Firefox is investigating a better user experience for identity management. Integrating identity into the browser allows users to better manage their profiles across web applications. Mozilla is advocating for web sites to support javascript calls to register and login in without the need for dedicated login pages.

I am a long time advocate of improving and expanding the browser feature set. Firefox has long led the pack in offering browser extensions. Google Chrome is following suit. Hopefully, the two can break the "i am a page viewer" mentality preventing web application improvements.

James Cameron Quote

Nice quote from James Cameron (ala Daring Fireball ala The New Yorker):

"If you set your goals ridiculously high and it's a failure, you will fail above everyone else's success."

Not sure if the statement bodes well for the upcoming Avatar movie, but definitely inspirational.

MTGO PTQ Sealed Pool

Snapshot is my sealed pool and deck choices for the MTGO San Diego PTQ. Comments?

RB seems strong with double Lacerators, Nighthawk, Inferno Trap, Boar, and Punishing Fire. Murasa is not as impressive but a good card with support from Beserkers and Sell-Swords. The deck is not a blow out. After round 3, I am 1-2. Check my tweets for a run down. One more loss and I drop. :(
